Crafting recipes in Ashes of Creation can be obtained in different ways.[1][2][3][4]
- From profession NPCs.[5]
- Purchasing from vendors.[6][5][1]
- Trading/buying from other players.[1][2]
- Drops from mobs and bosses.[6][5][1][2][3]
- Reputation rewards.[5]
- Deconstructing/disassembling rare item drops from bosses can yield recipes that can be used to replicate that item.[2][4]
- Through treasure hunting.[6][2]
- Through repetition of specific activities.[2]
- 成長 within a social organization, such as the Thieves' guild or Scholar's academy.[6][3]
- Based on status within a religious organization/church.[6][3]
- Recipes have differing rarities and may be locationally dependent.[2]
- We're definitely going to have rare recipes. We're going to have a very active recipe market that how players find them and how they discover them is going to be very diverse. It's not just going to be drop oriented. It's going to be discovery, adventurism, treasures, repetition of a particular activity that might yield something, deconstruction that might learn how to create a recipe.
